On October 20th, 2023, Florian Brünig (SFB Project C1, Roland Netz) successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Non-Markovian Dynamics and Vibrational Spectroscopy of Hydrated Protons and Water". The cumulative thesis awarded with summa cum laude focuses on proton-transfer dynamics and its spectroscopic signatures in water and biological environments and builds on collaborations with PIs Karsten Heyne (SFB Project B7) and Hartmut Oschkinat (SFB Project B1).
